This tour is unmissable, as it combines architectural wonder and artisan craftsmanship. The Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, is a church built inside a salt mine that is considered the First Wonder of Colombia. Inside are a series of architectural and artistic designs that, combined with the effects of light, create beautiful images of symbols on the walls and on the ceiling of the cavernous spaces. After lunch, we will visit a world-famous artisan to learn more about the craft of salt rock carving and to create our very own salt rock keepsake.

To speak of coffee is to speak of Colombia. As part of this tour we will participate in a Premium coffee tasting where the coffee beans have been carefully produced and selected so as to satisfy the most demanding palates in the world. In a production plant, we will learn about the whole process, from its selection, to its preparation using different methods. Guided by a professional barista, we will learn to taste and distinguish aromas that make up a unique and exceptional product. Then we will take a Tour through La Candelaria and Monserrate, (which will complete your tourist experience in Bogotá). During this excursion, we will take you to the Cerro de Monserrate where you will have the best panoramic view of the city. Upon descending we will visit the old and historical area of ​​Bogotá: La Candelaria, where we will be able to explore some of the most emblematic places of the city, such as El Museo Botero, La Plaza de Bolívar, El Chorro de Quevedo, ending at the Museo del Oro, the largest collection of pieces of gold in the world.

At 2:30 p.m. several buses will pick up all guests at the JW Marriott hotel and take them to the event venue: Hacienda Marquéz. Once we are there, the ceremony will begin at 4pm followed by the reception at 5pm, which will consist of a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. A bus will go back to the hotel at 11:00 p.m (for those who wish to return earlier) and the rest will return at 1:30 a.m. when the party ends.

On Sunday at 3:30 pm you will be picked up at the JW Marriott hotel and taken to Andres Carne de Res restaurant in Cajicá/Chia, recognized as one of the best places to go for a night out in Bogota and where you can get a taste of typical Colombian gastronomy.

 

It is a very picturesque, fun and out-of-this-world place with an extraordinary repertoire of music and a great variety of Colombian food. The bride and groom consider it a "magical realism-type Disneyland for adults" :).

 

At the end of the night, guests will return to Bogota and will be dropped off at the JW Marriott (in the same transport that brought them to Andres Carne de Res)
